Internships in Japan

The snowboard instructor internship in Japan is our most popular programme and it’s no surprise why. Based out of the award-winning resort of Niseko (on the northern island of Hokkaido), people flock here because of the 15+ metres of powder snow that falls each season.

Choose a snowboard instructor internship in Japan and you can expect premium snowboard tuition from some of the most progressive pros in Japan. Your riding will improve beyond measure as you train towards an internationally recognised qualification. Once you’re done, you’ll receive a guaranteed job offer to work as a snowboard instructor for the rest of the winter.

Qualifications in Japan

Sign up for a snowboard instructor internship in Japan and you’ll come out the other end with an internationally recognised qualification provided by Snowboard Instruction New Zealand (SBINZ). This national association for snowboarders is governed by the International Ski Instructors Association (ISIA) which sets the minimum standard requirements for ski and snowboard instructors internationally.

This gives you the flexibility to work as a snowboard instructor in all sorts of exciting spots around the world. Choose from the following qualifications: SBINZ Level 1, SBINZ Level 2 , SBINZ Teaching Children Certification.

Your instructor job

WE ARE SNO is one of the most established instructor training providers in Japan. As a result, we’re able to offer a paid instructor job offer with every single snowboard internship. You’ll move into full-time, paid employment as soon as you pass your SBINZ Level 1 certification, under the guidance and support of your programme manager.

The Japanese school we work with is busy, bustling and full of fun. The standard of work is exceptional and wages are very competitive. The employment phase of the internship will run the majority of the peak season, allowing you to plan in advance and maximise your time in resort.
