As the bitter Siberian winds blast the Japanese Alps, a natural phenomenon occurs creating some of the world’s best annual snowfall. Home to the snow resort of Niseko United, the island of Hokkaido has been officially crowned the Powder Capital of the World.
Niseko is without doubt Japan’s premier ski destination and the proud recipient of many international awards. Nestled in the mountains two hours east of the city of Sapporo, Niseko United is a serious competitor on the global snow stage making it the ultimate choice for a ski instructor internship or snowboard instructor internship.
Complete a ski or snowboard instructor internship at Niseko and you’ll train under the watchful eye of some of Japan’s finest international ski and snowboard coaches. During the initial phase of the internship course you’ll complete a comprehensive training package designed to enhance on-snow proficiency and develop coaching expertise.
You’ll follow a curriculum set out by the New Zealand Snowsports Instructors Alliance (NZSIA) or Snowboard Instruction New Zealand (SBINZ) and finish with an internationally recognised qualification.
