Regardless of which destination you select for your ski instructor course, you can be assured it will be one of the best. Choose Japan for deep powder and cultural immersion. Think Canada for its friendly community and varied terrain. Pick Europe for its high alpine and expansive pistes. Or journey to New Zealand for its spectacular scenery, laid back vibe and adrenaline filled activities.
During our ski instructor training courses and ski instructor internships we utilise experienced, highly certified trainers to deliver our on-snow programmes. The trainers are all senior members of the ski school and have been responsible for training, mentoring and qualifying many instructors over the years.
Our training packages are very thorough, we aim to maximise the amount of on-snow training you receive to ensure you are fully prepared for your instructor exams. The training is focussed around technique improvement, the ability to demonstrate the correct movements and progressions, and understanding how to effectively plan and deliver a lesson.
Each of our ski instructor courses allow you the opportunity to gain internationally recognised instructor certifications. We work with a selection of ISIA sanctioned examining bodies and offer certifications from the British Association of Snowsport Instructors (BASI) in Switzerland, the Canadian Ski Instructors’ Alliance (CSIA) in Canada, and the New Zealand Snowsports Instructors Alliance (NZSIA) in New Zealand and Japan.
Our advanced packages are aimed at those looking to gain further qualifications and work multiple seasons as an instructor. They typically include a level 2 training package and exam, teaching children, freestyle, and avalanche safety certifications.
Our training in Niseko was run by Propeak, one of the most established ski schools in the area. Our trainer, Campbell, had around 18 seasons worth of experience so its some of the best coaching I’ve ever received. My skiing technique was dissected, critiqued and then built back up, so I’m skiing better than ever. The course sets you up for success and its great fun both on and off the slopes.
WE ARE SNO simply made everything easy. From the organisation prior to the course to the communication leading up to departure. We met our program manager at the airport and it didn’t take long to settle into resort life. We were fully prepared for the exams with excellent guidance from our trainers. The experience continues to be extraordinary with the help of ongoing support from the team at We Are Sno.
The whole experience was amazing. We all worked hard for the qualification, but we had plenty of time to chill. The accommodation was everything we needed with comfy beds, and only a short walk from the slopes and bars. The quality of the training definitely gave us the upper hand compared to similar programs and the 100% pass rate is proof. I could not recommend this more to anyone thinking about working a ski season abroad.
Whether your ski instructor course is a much needed break, or the start of a new career, it’s destined to be an experience you’ll never forget. Becoming a ski instructor with WE ARE SNO is more than just about skiing. Our in-resort teams are made up of dedicated programme managers and course representatives who are there to support you every step of the way. We organise regular social events, activities and team dinners over the duration of the ski instructor course.
Depending on the resort, there will be between 16-32 trainee instructors on your course, with participants typically arriving from Australia, Canada, Europe, Scandinavia and the UK.
